You know your pregnant when
You know your pregnant when...
* Your heartburn is so bad you foam at the mouth
* You have a constant drip from your nose
* Headaches have become part of your daily routine
* You are preoccupied by thoughts of food
* Naps are your best friend
* When you think about baby names you shout it from
the back deck to make sure it sounds appropriate.
* You can no longer see your hip bones, or any bone for that matter
* When you walk, more than just your boobs jiggle
And the #1 Way to know your pregnant...
* When you sneeze and laugh you can't help but dribble in your pants!
Well now that you all understand how I am feeling this week, Its been a good week! LOL
A week from Tuesday we will be finding out if we are having a boy or girl! So excited I can barely contain myself. I am still saying Girl because a boy couldn't cause this much of a headache from the beginning.
Pregnancy-Countdowns
I went to a sale at the fairgrounds on Friday that is called Just between friends. Its like a big garage sale. Anyway I had been looking forward to this for at least a month and had cash to buy a stroller if I found a good one. But I was just so let down. Things were way over priced and what they did have were clothes and I couldn't find anything that I liked that was neutral.
Shadow also had an exciting week. Steve and I finally took the plunge spent the money and had him fixed. Steve was up at the cabin on Thursday when he had his surgery and by the time he got home Friday Shadow was feeling much better. In fact Shadow felt so goood and was so excited that he invited Steve home buy humping him! WHAT THE HECK??? This wasn't going on before we took him in? I'm hoping that his hormones were just messed up from the surgery. His energy hasn't decreased at all either, but it takes time so we shall see.
Now on to the baby :)
Baby center describes week 19 as:
our baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
Here is a picture of squished baby:
And here is a picture of the Fruit/Vegetable of the week:
Well I'm off to wake up Steve Its 8 30, and he's been sleeping for three hours if he doesn't wake up soon he wont sleep tonight!

18 Weeks tomorrow
Thought I would post today since I'll be working all weekend. Such a bummer to be working on a nice weekend. Hope everyone gets to go get a scone at the spring fair on Saturday or Sunday. I might have to send Steve so I can have one :)
Well this week I have been studying for the Pediatric Certification Nursing Exam. The test is like the boards you take at the end of school but just for Pediatrics only. In fact that what may be inspiring to write this blog early because my alternative is to STUDY some more. I forgot how much I dislike learning pointless facts that don't pertain to your job.
Well 18 Weeks is a bell pepper. This example is for the length I read on baby center. So without further a due :

This is how Baby is described:
Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
This is another fun picture in case your not aware of the development of a baby in the womb.

Well I'm off to work on my dinner for tonight, I have steaks marinating and am gong to make asparagus and potato salad to go with! The sun is out and I think a BBQ is is in order :)

17 Weeks Today :)
Saturday Check in- 17w
How Far Along: 17 Weeks Today!
How big is baby?: Well depending on the website a turnip or onion. Hmmm Onion sounds like heartburn waiting to happen so lets go with turnip.

Total Weight Gain: 3-4 lbs
Maternity Clothes:. Not yet. The bellyband is great! I do have a pair of maternity jeans I purchased but they are too big and are still baggy at this moment in time ☺
Sleep: AMAZING!! I’m a gifted sleeper as soon as I hop into bed I’m out. This is my norm though. My only thing that keeps me up is my trips to the bathroom. But If I don’t drink to much past 8 or 9 I can avoid this all together.
Best Moment This Week: Feeling the baby move for the first time! YAY
Movement: For sure this time it wasn’t gas.
Gender: I think girl…my mom on the other hand is convinced boy. We will see who has the motherly instincts on May 4th.
Labor Signs: No and hopefully not for a loooooooong time.
Belly Button in or out: Innie
What I miss: Advil!
What I'm Looking Forward to: Finding out if it is a boy or girl ☺
Weekly Wisdom: Nothing is for certain in this life, enjoy every second that the Lord gives you He ordained it!

Funny Prediction
So I answered my favorite color, the weather outside, how many brother and sisters and a few other questions and this is the answer I recieved....
The day you deliver, outside will be bright. Your baby will arrive in the mid morning. After a labor lasting approximately 7 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 12 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and fluffy black hair.
