31.5 weeks and counting

Well I have almost made it to 32 weeks...I'm hoping for only another 6 weeks to go! It would be nice for our daughter to make her arrival 2 weeks early...very acceptable in the medical world she would even be considered full term at that point :)

Last weekend we went on a trip to Ocean shores with some great friends. Had a blast minus the traffic to and from. Some words to describe our trip are: Icecream, mopeds, sand, fire, hotdogs, smores, games, laughter, silliness, love, and Christ.
We were able to be there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday which was fun and here are some pictures from the trip :)

Another fun event that we had this last week was our two year anniversary! Woohoo :) We made it another year and this one has been amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better husband, and father for my child. I am so excited to see their relationship blossom. We didn't do too much to celebrate just a nice dinner at Anthony's and of course a picture or two :)

The last exciting thing we have done this week was working on the Nursery. We got the crib set up, the walls painted, our chair put together, the rug cleaned and down and its starting to look like a nursery. Here are a few pictures.

I will have to post another belly picture soon...Today is not a good day for a picture because I look like a wreck. I have had awful indigestion, which has lead to vomiting the last two days so I stayed home from work today...so far I've been on a liquid diet because I'm afraid to eat anything, so frustrating. But I promise to update the bump picture soon since Its been a while and I have most definitely grown!

Ruffles!!

Well since we are having a girl why not enjoy the femininity that comes with that right?? So I'm very excited to introduce ruffles into the decor of the nursery.
Here are some great curtains from Urban outfitters:

These are great but probably out of my price range since they are 78$ a piece. Maybe they will go on sale between now and September :)

Next is some ruffles from Target. This is a shower curtain but could easily be used as a curtain in the nursery:

At 29$ a piece these are much more reasonable and possibility for the room. I plan on putting a cream shag rug up there so I'm not sure how the white would do, but I'm sure I could make it work :)

Next is a ruffled pillow that would look great on the glider to tie in the curtains: This I might be able to possibly make if I tried hard enough...Or maybe I could convince my mom (or maybe not) ;)

This is a great ruffled bedskirt that I have been keeping my eye on from restoration hardware; which comes only in grey but I could definitely pull in that color:

Lastly you can't have ruffles and a girl without....
RUFFLED BUTT:

And there you have it femininity at its best...through ruffles :)

Week 28

So I spent most of my day today cleaning...sleeping...cleaning...I have a huge load to take to the Good Will that my dad is going to swing buy and pick up for me since its all on my front porch waiting to go and Steve is working a 48 hour shift. Its great that he can get overtime but stinks to be alone that long (minus the dogs and kicking in my belly.) I am 28 weeks and five days today and here is a picture at 28 weeks and 2 days...

I got a recipe from a fellow bumpy today and printed it out. We are going to a pool party for the 4th and hopefully it will be a fun one in this dreary Washington state. But these Icecream cupcakes look great, so I think I'll try to make them for the party I think the kids will LOVE them :)

And Last but not least I tried making Sushi this week. Turned out pretty good for my first time. There was Salmon, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese. We went to the Taste of Tacoma last week and saw someone selling a Sushi roller. Me being the cheap girl that I am knew my mom had one and thought that it would probably be an one or two time adventure so I borrowed hers :) Here is my outcome...

Glider/Recliner

So I posted several weeks ago about a glider that we both loved. It was a little castle cottage recliner that was amazing when you sat it in and we were both SOLD until we saw the price of $889 before tax and delivery. Well after a long trip to Seattle and then Southcenter yesterday we decided on another glider recliner that is more in our price range. But only after one last trip to LAZY BOY so I could veto it.
This is the chair we chose its by Best Charis and the style is Tryp.

The only thing we didn't like about the recliner is that you can't recline without putting the feet up.
So after deciding to purchase this recliner we and when I saw we I mean I have the daunting task of picking the fabric.
Here is the book and what it looks like:

Now this is just for fun commentary:

Can you say GRANDMA

CRAZY!!

This screams Nursery!!! I couldn't use it anywhere else in the house later, but sure is soft!!

This is so FUN, but I'm not risky enough to order it... :(

Now for our real three choices:

Any comments would be much appreciated and taken to heart! <3

Lastly on our full day excursion to Seattle yesterday I purchased these drawer pulls from Anthropology. I just love them :) You can't really tell by the picture but they are lavender. I plan to put all three on to the changing table.

Well thanks for your notes and votes for the chair. Hugs to you all.

26 Weeks

Well I've been feeling much better this last week. I could even say that maybe...perhaps...if I tried really hard I "enjoyed" this last week of pregnancy :)

Here is my picture from 25 weeks...

And here is 26 weeks 2 days...I'm starting to get big!

As for this last week I really decided to get into the groove of the nursery since I don't want to be doing it all at the end of the pregnancy when I am to big to move and its too hot out.
So last week I taped the nursery so that Steve could prime it! Here is the beginning pictures.

Next I ordered some crib sheets in this fabric:

Then I decided to replicate a mobile that I found online.

So I ordered six little birdies off of etsy that look like this...

Now I need to make a trip to Ikea for the lamp and hopefully to a crib store out in Southcenter at the same time so Steve and I can try out some more chairs. So thats my week baby wise. Hope your all feeling well and enjoying the sun! What a week the Lord has given us :) Love you all

A List of woes...

First I'll start off with pictures of week 23 Bump...

The fruit for week 23 is...

Last week I was feeling pretty good...Up working alot, not nauseous, tired but not sleeping, nothing to complain about. Thats probably why I never blogged I was to busy working or having fun!!

Now this week is a whole other story.

Let me first share with you that I had a check up on Tuesday and I am officially up 17lbs! WHAT???? Where did all this weight come from?? Are you kidding me. I haven't even been eating that much...
So here is a picture of 24 weeks 5 days to my little medicine ball in my belly.

Secondly I have not pooped in over 8 days...Do you know how much you eat in 8 days??? So here is a tribute picture to being constipated... (Only a nurse would feel so free as to sharing this)....

Thats right a picture of a clean and empty toilet!!

Third...
I'm still throwing up...Yes thats right almost 6 months and I'm still vomiting. Two nights ago I was laying in bed and all of a sudden the urge to vomit became overwhelming, I ran to the toilet and there was my lunch and dinner... (Lunch because it still can't get out lol) And here is my tribute to VOMITING...Oh yes 2 busted veins in my eye.

The rest is just icing on the cake...Steve and I have been home for 4 days sick and sneezing, and of course a second yeast infection is a necessity at this time.

On a happy note we ordered our crib! Finally...YAY!! I would like to start to work on the nursery before I'm the size of a boat.

I am excited for a very neutral calm nursery with splashes of lavender throughout just to make it girly. We already purchased a nice pottery barn cabinet that we plan on using as the changing table. The only piece of furniture left to buy is glider. What I would like to purchase and what is cost effective are definitely not the same thing.

This chair runs about $800 so if you have any alternatives that are NOT and I repeat NOT a lazy-boy (Yes already fought that battle) Then let me know.

Off to resting on the couch some more. Hope all is well with your family. And my next blog should be a little more upbeat :)

Week 21

Well this was a fun weekend.
First it was mother's day which was exciting because Steve was very appreciative for the mothering that I have already done by caring his baby girl. He brought me and his mom a bouquet of flowers from Pikes place market and they were just BEAUTIFUL!

And we went for a great breakfast....mmmm Stuffed crepes which take me back to my childhood where my "Meme" would make them for any meal of the day!
We also went and visited with my mom which was nice just to be up at my parents for a little while hanging out as a family again.

Saturday I was able to spend the day up at the Condo in Seattle with Lorri whom I love just as my own mom. We went down to the water front and looked at the tug boats, had lunch at Ivers. Got to do some very cute baby shopping, swimming and happy hour with so many good appetizers and deserts (Minus fried green beans - would not recommend them). All and All it was a great Sunny Weekend!

Here is my 21 week BUMP picture.

Fruit/Vegetable of the week:

I'm not very excited to work so much this week. I seem to be getting tried much faster these days and the 12 hour shifts take forever. On the positive note after dinner last night I realized all of Steve's mandatory vacation starts on the 21st! Which is great 5 paid vacation days right when the baby gets here without taking any sick leave. I was so grateful for that we couldn't have planned it like that if we had tried.

Last think I want to leave all the pregnant ladies with is something that I found in my pregnancy book. Since I have gained 10lbs so far and am feeling like quite the tub these facts made me feel much better

Breakdown of Pregnancy weight:
Blood Volume: 2lbs 15 oz
Womb: 2lbs 3oz
Fetus: 7lbs 8 oz
PLacenta: 1lb 8oz
Amniotic Fluid 1lb 13oz
Fat:7lbs 11oz
Retained water 3bls 5oz (can be up to as much as 10lbs!)
TOTAL: 27lbs 13 oz
And thats with only 8 lbs to loose when the baby gets here! So keep going girls! Growing is perfectly normal :)

Its A GIRL!!!

Well today we had our BIG ultrasound!! YAY
Steve and I saw all the baby pictures minus the anatomy pictures that would give it away whether it was a boy or girl. We had the ultrasound tech write the sex in a card and then a trip to Nordstroms was in our future. Steve picked out a boy outfit and I picked out a girl and had the clerk package the outfit while we wondered the store. We were then off to Claim jumpers for lunch and a fun way to figure out if our gift from God was a boy or girl. Steve was so excited/nervous he stalled opening the box for at least 5-10 minutes. It was a fun afternoon and a nice way to spend a special moment together.

FIrst We will begin with a belly picture at 20 weeks :)

Next is the fruit:

And then for the fun Pictures:

Steve opening the box....

Steve stalling....

He just can't do it! Stalling some more...

Finally Pink paper!!

I'm so excited :)

Here are some ultrasound pictures! I wont bore you with too many but a few just for fun ;)
